Okay well...my internet has been "suspended" for the past few days, I had to call my ISP (Rogers) to find out what was wrong, and they said it was a Trojan (IRC Bot to be specific..); so they instructed me to put an encryption key on my router (which I already had, but a 32~byte one or w.e); so I up the security and change it to a 128byte encryption, but I thought "screw that, I dont want them to disable my internet again" (If the virus appears to be active again, they will suspend my internet for 1 week). Thus, I disabled my wireless completely. Then I began to run spyware/virus scans on my own and my brother's computer and i had like 700+ viruses since I never enable my anti-virus or check for them either, my brother had like 100~ viruses. Obviously I deleted them all and re-enabled my internet. I asked them "Whats different about this virus that will cause you guys to suspend my internet?" and they said "Its because this virus can expose your personal information like your credit card info, your addresses, etc. etc. etc. and it can cause problems for our servers too" and I thought "Rogers, you stingy bastard".
*Sigh* 2 years with disabled anti-virus/anti-spyware, shattered. Has this ever happened to any of you?
Edit: Wth many bastardly things came from this stupid virus deletetion crap, THE ANIMATED GIFS ON THE INTERNET ARENT WORKING!

I dont have a firewall (well, other than the hardware firewall that lets anything and everything through). I check for viruses every few months. All it ever finds is some adware. Usually exactly the same one everytime.

Rogers called me last year and left me a message saying that if I don't get rid of it, they would suspend my service. I had the same IRC virus and nothing at the time would remove it. So, I call rogers and they basically said to use their trial offer of norton, but that wouldn't remove it and if I didn't find a way they would suspend me. So I said fck that and reformated. I think they do that because they have a partnership with norton, and just want to sell copies of it.
