Ok, so being a warrior/cleric i will have the option (eventually!) at 80, to wear any armor i'd like to (heavy coming from warrior, light from both cleric/warrior, and robe from cleric).

In terms of PvP, would it make sense for a Euro player to then adapt to the chinese strategy of using garment (in this case robe)?

Being a Euro. char, do I also get the movement speed/mana buffs of using light/robe? What advantages/disadvantages might you see in a Euro Str character using robe or light over heavy?

Any input is welcome in advance, thank you.

At least I think it would look very cool to wear robe as a warrior. 8)
I don't know much about the gameplay things of it, but it lokos cool. :D

Thats my plan for my pure str rogue/cleric. I will switch to robe, just for the speed increase. In pvp it looks like the fights last a very short time so the difference in defense would be negligible.

mana skin alone gives you over 1k magic defense >.>
no need for robe.

Depending on how durable you are/what skills you have to extend your durability, the length of the fight is debateable... But, either way, if that were the case, then why do the vast majority of chinese chars, int, stry or hybrid still go out in robe if it's negligble =)?

As for mana skin, it def. helps, but once again it's only 45 seconds I believe, so for about half of the time you're out there, or more, you won't have it, which is pretty significant imo...

Any other thoughts?

I would use Armor too because you have mana skin which last 45 seconds and gives you a lot of magical defense and and a fight against a nuker wont last that long.

-Edit-
Beside armor looks much cooler 8)

Honestly, looks are considered second at this point, i'd rather have performance (besides, with angel wings you don't see what armor the person has ;))

And what about the other half of the time when mana skin is down? Iron/Mana skin go away faster than you think...
