Say, if you take 1000 black people from North America, and maybe 100/1000 are successfull and the rest are living lives looking up to 2pac and other "gangster" figures., and you say "well NA black people are mostly gangsters and unsuccessful, etc. etc." Is that generalization or statistic?

How Successful or Unsuccessful a person is has nothing to do with their ethnicity. 2pac was a poet don't even think of comparing him to the fools we have today. Once again, your statement is still a generalization. Take 1000 Black people from Detroit, boom stereotype confirmed. Take 1000 Black people from various suburbs, boom stereotype busted. You can't take a case study like that and attempt to generalize for the whole. The best way to do it is take a school that accurately represents the ratio of Black(12%):White(71%):Hispanic(14%):Asian(3%):Native American(.2%) then ask them what is the highest level of education their parents received. Even that isn't accurate, because if its a private school: Highest level of education and if its a badly funded public school: Lowest level.

No Matter how you twist it, generalizations can't be made and at the same time be justified by the majority.

1. By successful/unsuccessful I mean people like us, who have average (?) grades and strive to achieve. Then there is unsuccessful by which I mean, gangsters/thugs/pimps/hood rats, etc. etc.

you act like white ppl all get good grades and become successful members of society. In my Area the public school is where most of the minorities when to the the private catholic school was were alot of the white kids went. Even though more ppl from the catholic school made it into college more ppl who made into college from our school didn't fail out. Now most of the white kids who graduated are back here doing odd meaningless job the same as the black kids who never graduated at all.

If you took 1000 black kids from the intercity who are surrounded by drugs/poverty/crime etc there rate of success would probably be equal to the rate of success of 1000 white kids constantly surrounded by those same conditions. Criminal activity is not a matter of race its a matter of economics. This is not to say there aren't ppl who choose to be assholes but these types of ppl can be found in every culture across the globe and shouldn't be used to represent the group as a hole.

When i go outside everyday i get slammed by ppl who believe the stereotypes and ppl who enforce the stereotypes. IMO neither one is better than the other and im sick of ppl looking at me as different or acting surprised because i speak well and am majoring in a field of science because they don't expect that kind of thing some black kid they, like you Crim, expect that i'll end up in jail at some point in my life because most black guys are criminals. No stfu. My whole family is successful, teachers, doctors, architects, contractors, psychologist...that is the background i come from, that is the background that most black ppl come from. Just cause the media doesn't show you doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Im only saying the media because thats the only place i can think of that would lead you to possibly come up with these ridiculous statements especially since none of the statistics support support and any intelligent person knows a group is assholes is a group of assholes, not a group of black/mexican/chinese assholes.

Stereotypes are stupid, you can't prove them true, even with statistics. It is only a matter of opinion from the person.

I mean sure, you do see more African Americans in gangs than white people, but look at those people's situation, where they live, how they live. No rich person is going to be a gang banger, unless he/she is a wankster.

If I see a well dressed black person walk past me, do I think he is going to go to jail eventually? Of course not.
If I see a black person with baggy pants, t-shirts big enough to cover 3/4 their body, walking like a dumbass, will I think they have been involved in criminal activity? Yes, Why? Because they sure as hell look it.

And with my last sentence said, thats them justifying the stereotype.

Not trying to sound racist because honestly I think this whole thing is kinda dumb. The pic was funny and that's all. On your statistics I have to call bullshit though. Almost every harmful thing that was committed against me in life happened to be done by a black person. Mostly in the areas of stealing, threatening, and the only person that had a sawed off shot gun and pistol that I was literally scared to death of was a black guy in my old neighborhood. The damn crack head pointed it at me once thinking it wasn't loaded and then found out it was and said "oh dayum son, good thing I aint fire it". Not to mention some of the other shit I had been around in the three all black neighborhoods I have lived in. Yes, these people were in gangs and I would hear them have little talks about how they hate the white man and it was always specifically white people they went after. Racism is everywhere no matter what your skin color and I think if you look up some Real statistics instead of pulling random nonsense out of your ass you just may find that as much as it sucks the statistics show a higher crime rate among blacks. I have seen statistics on it before but am to lazy to look them up again just to show you. It's not because of their skin color but because of the image they are expected to present in America today. Many of them think it's cool to be in gangs, sell drugs, and other crap. Not all, but a large number. Many of the people that should be roll models are still in gangs and support the negative activity. If the so called roll models would pay to get the people on low income out of the streets, out of gangs, and educated we might have less stereotypes. It's not a matter of skin color though the issue is in people not being able to think for themselves and following a very low and stupid standard.

But it was the incorrect most not all. For the most part, the Ethnicities really do avoid each other or what I should type is; they try to find those like them. A white person can be assaulted by a black person once in their life and instantly label most black people as impoverished and aggressive. Same with black people, except it will be: "All white people are racist". They're both stupid.

I was thinking of overall crime rate statistics.....

Which I did look up once and remember the highest crime rate was not whites.

Oh, and life experience is part of what molds us into who we are. I also want to clear up I am not saying that stuff about all blacks. I have met quite a few well spoken, and educated blacks that contribute to society. Just like I have met some simple white trash. Most gang activity I have come across though is limited to race. Most real gangsters I have come across I would consider racist, no question. (not the kids in grade school that pretend to be because they think it's cool)
