					| did your copy come with any of the codes for the extra items / characters?
if not personally i would say to download these ones:
 Warden's Keep
 The Stone Prisoner
 Return to Ostagar
Witch Hunt < out on the 7th Sep

These add to the story and epicness of the game more then the others.

					| McLovin1t wrote: not that i'm aware of. and are those like extra quests and stuff? are they good, do they cost money, etc? Each of those listed above are new areas (only in DLC), new quests which give new items and give a new character (The Stone Prisoner/shale) which
leads to another side quest itself.

They are all about extending the story and adding to it, and help explain
what would otherwise be unanswered questions about certain events and
 persons.

They are very much good and enjoyable to play (once downloaded happen
within the game naturally) and all cost a certain amount of points
which themselves do cost money. The Stone Prisoner (which adds potential
party member Shale) costs $15 while Warden’s Keep costs $7. Return to
Ostagar costs $5.The upcoming Witch Hunt will cost $5.

					| Since there are like 3 new DLCs out since I last played this, I decided to play Dragon Age again. Darkspawn don't stand a chance with this: About the new DLCs that I played (Witch Hunt, Leliana's song, Golems of Amgarrak) they were actually really good. Leliana's song was my favorite ofc. I loved playing as Leliana, one of my favorite characters, before she turned all goody-good. I'd like to point out that that Varterral is extremely easy to beat with the shit party you're stuck with, even on Hard or Nightmare. However the Harvester is so hard to beat. Naturally I wanted to get all the possible achievements so I attempted it on Hard. The 2 dwarves you get are completely useless, they die within seconds. The golem is pretty good however I can't use poultices with it so it dies really fast too. I did golems of Amgarrak with a lvl 25 character that I imported from DA:O, if I chose one of my Awakening characters it probably would have been much easier but meh... Well anyway, I played on Nightmare this time and took like 19 hours to complete it doing almost every single side quest. Then I moved onto Awakening and wanted to try something new and had a party of 3 rogues, all of which were archers and one mage. This combination is actually really good. You might think I need a tank because I'm playing on Nightmare but I really don't. Sure it takes a bit longer because when fighting stronger enemies I have to plan out all my moves carefully. All 3 of my rogues had Ranger specialization, so before engaging in battle I would send in 3 spiders/bears first to do all the tanking. If it's a large group, use Mass Paralysis skill from my mage then get my 3 rogues and take them out one by one. This party is actually one of the best I ever had. I wanted to try something different from the norm (which is usually 2 mages/1 warrior/ 1 rogue) and it proved effective. I slayed the architect and the mother within a matter of seconds. Simply use Mark of Death, get all 3 rogues to use Arrow of Slaying followed by Rain of Arrows. If the damage doesn't make you gasm, the huge amount of arrows raining down on your enemy definitely will. I also got a question guys, in the above screenshot Alistair has a complete Paragon Armor. This is like my 5th play-through of DA:O and it's my first time coming across this armor and weapon set. Was it added with the 1.04 patch or some DLC? How did this post turn into such a long one..all I wanted to say is that I played Dragon Age again. This thread needs to be revived anyway. >_> P.S anyone read the comis?_________________

The first 3 chapters are out and so far it's about an apostate mage who had a child with a templar then gave it away to some random blacksmith she found along the road. When the child is like 16 her family is murdered and she and her brother and cousin hunt down the murderers. Lately I've been reading a lot of the Codex and damn the history and stuff all goes into so much detail. Props to whoever wrote it._________________

					| If I buy expansions, can I continue with a finished game? I mean like return to ostagar or the awakening or something, not stone prisoner or w/ ever. I need to kill some time before black ops and I might buy those if that means I can continue with my old game. _________________

					| Return to Ostagar you can't because it's just a DLC. But if you get the campaigns like Darkspawn Chronicles, Witch Hunt, Golems of Amgarrak and Leliana's song you can import your own character. (Not Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's song because you use..well a darkspawn and Leliana in those campaigns) And guys I'm really sad. I was 86% done with the entire game not as in a play-through but I mean the ENTIRE game. Meaning I almost got every achievement, every ending etc etc. And then the hard drive that my Dragon Age was installed on died so bye-bye my 100 achievements And bye-bye my 300 hours getting those achievements and everything. I'm gonna go cry now._________________

					| Sucks about the saved game but achievements are saved? Only thing that will suck is if there's a 100% completion achievement lol _________________

					| Also for me the saved games are stored on the DA servers because I switched hdd 2 times and I still have all my saves.
Anyways those DLC are pretty cheap except the stone prisoner o.O Guess they aren't that big of an add on.

					| XMoshe wrote: stone prisoner o.O They made it like that so people would buy new games with free stone prisoner and not used ones. Quote: The Stone Prisoner is available without extra cost for players who purchased a new copy of Dragon Age: Origins. For players who bought a second-hand copy of the game, this downloadable content is available for 1200 Microsoft Points (US$15) on Xbox Live Marketplace and US$15 on the PC and the Playstation Store.
From wiki EDIT: My thoughts about the Dlc The ones during the main campaignWarden's Keep - Must have for me since I had it from the startThe Stone Prisoner - Best one (Shale is one of favorites) and the quests are interesting.Return to Ostagar - You people have no idea how this was over-hyped (270+ page topic in one day because it was delayed) and after that it disappointed many. It wasn't bad but I wanted more dialog.Feastday Gifts & Pranks - Funny for some characters, useful for some (Sten's book of dead that can res during combat) and a great cheat to get +100 with everyone in your party. Seperate from the main storyDarkspawn Chronicles - Fun for a few minutes. Pure combat.Leliana's Song - Best one. I love Leli and the story is amazing. They did a great job on this one (I even replayed it)Golems of Amgarrak - Story was Ok. It's the one with the strongest boss "Harvester" (more powerful than the Archdemon)Witch Hunt - It was more like go there and then go there to get that to go there. The ending left us with more questions. Still it's a must have for Morrigan lovers.

Golems of Amgarrak was fun, the boss was idd pretty hard even on casual. I like leliana too so I think I'll try that one out too :3 /Edit Just finished Leliana's Song. Awesome stuff and a great amount of time for the 280 points you pay for it. I just love that girl, shame she's gay haha =p_________________
