I look and frown upon botters and botted characters.

But often, I look at their Seal of Sun gear and check their stats, equipment everything.

They attempt to kill me, I laugh. There is no one on the server that can kill me. But I cant kill them either

Bots dont actually know how to play the game nor their characters. They dont understand the basics and rules of the game.

If you wish to allow someone who is inferior to you get the best of you, then that is up to you.

I once had a level 70 guy ask me, How do you dismount the horse?

lol, no one can kill you, because yore a blader, and most likely have good equip. You cant make an argument like that when your char is a build designed to tank everything. That would be like me saying, Im a lvl 80 pure int nuker with a sosun 7 spear, and no one can out dmg me. The mere fact that you use that as an argument shows your ignorance.

Also x-large pot recovery time.

And your casting delays.

Why are you arguing Employee A we all know silkroad is a dead project, over a year and will be a year in a half in about 3 months since the last update. By the way Employee A silkroad is completely utterly a grind fest, how long have you been playing? Because i HIGHLY doubt unless you have WAAAY too much time/buy gold tickets every month that you have hand grinded to 80 on your own. Chances are joymax catered you one, ive played since day one..im only lvl 52...why? Because This game is a total grind fest, thanks for silk joymax now its 2x as hard to level so you want us to buy gold tickets to use the old xp rate..Besides this game is also completely high level based, i dont give a shit if you are lvl 80 any build you are still going to dominate anyone under lvl 75 in one hit...stupid unbalanced dmg/game.

Its very nice that no one can kill u, but it sux like hell when some BOT users kill me when im out to grind [Im still not lvl 80]. They dont care about pk status, cause they are lvl 80 and can bot theire exp back in some hours....

Its not about that they cant kill you 1on1. When a player can lvl 1-80 in like 3 months or so 24/7 boting when it took me 1 year and more to get from 1-70 and 4 months from 70 - 79.

I was fully fared 70 when the cap came out and i still havent reached 80 yet but some people with new characters get to 80 within months.

You see complete new guilds with new players all lvl 80 most of them with sosun weapons.

Everyday you see another sosun weapon in a bots hands.

When you see the same bot grinding afk 24/7 in the same spot for months on end.

Thats is why sro is becoming a hopeless cause why would a legit even bother anymore.

Where is the competition to get to high lvl, where is the fun in geting owned by bots, where is the fun of geting ridiculed for not boting HUH GMs answer for me please.

You might have gotten to lvl 80 and ignored all these facts but the rest of us are sick of it.

rofl, that wasnt a literal statement kinda obvious by the way I said WOULD BE LIKE ME SAYING but anyway, the point was, bladers are designed to tank, as theyre pure str and have a shield kd. Whereas nukers are designed to do major dmg, and with a spear, they do rediculous dmg. Therefore, you cant argue that no one can kill you one on one, that would be like me saying that if I were a nuker, no one can out dmg me one on one.

Lol mornindew im not knowing in what server you are. But in Greece there are some guys that can kill anyone they like to kill. And Yes Hitting 10k crit on a full str lvl 80 Glavier does hurts.

10k crits with a SOM 7 Glavie lol

And bladers are dead, weak build against lvl 80 glaviers. Also as you say, pure str bladers - ice enc - can kill eatchother.

wow wat a shit storm, lol, im full str glaive. theres not a lvl 55 can kill me either, lots i can pot war with for an hour, but none can kill me. my point with this post was this. i work my ass off for every little bit of an advantage i can get. i see some guy a week ago lvl 20, suddenly hes lvl 57 with an sosun wep, and then a week layer hes 65 with a better wep. it just makes me think why bother? they dont ban bots. why the hell not bot? why not buy some gold and get that sos wep i feel like ill never have? why should i suffer for doing the right thing. i have integrity so i wont, but i can see why botting is the problem it is. its just too easy to fall to the dark side. now we have this whole freaking mess. and JM doesent seem to give a shit that this wonderful project is going to the dogs. i love SRO. i was hooked from day one. now everyday i want to quit. i feel like my old friend has a terminal disease. and i cant do a thing to save him. so thats why i come on the forum everyday and raise hell, i dont want to lose SRO. thats all.

I think you missed the point a bit bud. Yes you are a lvl 80 in 14 months but how long have you been lvl 80? The major bot issue did not start until recently. Yes they were there before but not in the great amount of numbers that they were just a few short months ago. This is what people are talking about. That since Joymax will do nothing about it, their number grow, they have all turned on the KS feature and they complain to JM and all of their wishes come true. Please dont say NO. This is the truth. Every patch, every update, every fix recently has been to appease the botters. Im not saying it was done with intent, knowledge or malice but the fact remains, it is so.

I know that we are all tired of hearing, seeing and complaining about the bots. But, responding to people who are clearly frustrated, myself included that you are lvl blah blah and have nothing to worry about is......well.....why not just spit on me? It would have been better to not respond at all. The ignore them tactic may have worked 6 months ago but have you really played and grinded as a low lvl recently? Try it. Try wasting hours and hours of ticket time because every time you start a mob 5 bots come up and take it from you at the same time. Start a new build and let me know how you feel once you start grinding on Bunwhang, Chakji, Ishades, Yeti even.......it sux. It sux beyond belief. And please flamers...shut up. I am lvl 56 and grinding on Yeti some days and Eddiumu others. LVL 64 nuker bots are grinding all over here too. How does any legit stand a chance against that? I am to suffer and fight white faced spiders all day because they wont? Maybe I can grind on Manyang. Then I can ignore the bots.

I know you know that there are bots. Some of you elitist players might even know that they are in great numbers. But, does Joymax? Do the GMs? Do they care or is the bottom line a motivating force bigger than customer satisfaction?

Gratz on 80 tho. LOL

thats just harsh cause i totally agree with jazba. SRO has too many problems. if you go to wikipedia and search for silkroad they give u infos about that game and they listed every single problems. Only a few of them are:

Bots
lags
overcrowdness

racism
and the list goes on.....

Ive been playing for way too long. Ive been 100% legit and against bots until i started with my char Zyankali.
I was frustrated over this game and i wanted to know why so many people bot so i started myself just to see and i end up being unable to stop until the first major ban which was not too long ago.

And when i say i agree to jezba i mean it. If your legit your wasting your life. Ive had a convo with some1 improving the game so JM could ban bots on spot. he told me to go bot cause its a waste to grind a game thats overcrowded with such problems.

Ive wasted almost 2 years grinding my ass off until i started botting.
And morningdew just cleared up that they dont give a **** and the only thing she is doing is trying to excuse joymax.

on my new char that came after Zyankali ive been legit ever since i started her, but recently ive been thinking to start botting again JUST because I WANT JOYMAX TO BAN ME.

Why? cause this game is a total waste of your lifetime, the drama you have to deal with and accept every day is a goddam joke, it gets u sick. yet again this game is addictive, like a car crash, you wanna look away so bad but you cant.

We are all wasting our lifetime and money actually trying to be legit. but this game has so many unfixable problems that you literally have no other chance than being a "bad boy/girl" yourself.

there are 1million other forums out there. just cause i openly talk about botting? hey come on, after the many people posting random bot topics at least 90% of the members would have to be banned.

I never suggested botting either, just said IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO KEEP UP the only solution the players WOULD have left is to start themselves.

and i never admitted to CURRENT botting.
Only that I once did and that im thinking to MAYBE start again just to get finally banned from this game.

Now what? if it makes the mods here happy go ahead and ban me, its not like SRF are the only forums out there, and its not like i dont have any friends i could talk to about this all

I still don't understand why Joymax needs 100% proof that someone bots in order to ban them. In any other computer information system (be it a game, corporate network, whatever) if a user is in any way involved in suspicious/malicious activity, that user would be punished in some way or other.

If a user is doing something "bad" in Silkroad that is negatively affecting other players, there should be nothing stopping Joymax from punishing them. Now I can understand that they can't permanently ban a paying customer simply because it "looks" like they might possibly be not following the rules. However, it should be each and every user's responsibility to follow the rules in the game. "no cheating" should be a rule. If you might be cheating, you should be punished, even if it's just temporary.

GM sees a character "humping" a wall for 4 hours straight: give them a 3 day ban while they investigate. The same player gets banned too often, perma-ban...

nor GM's care. Infact they r making things easier for botters.

whether we dont like to admit that or not, but thats the bottom line.

I play for fun. I know full well that for many, including myself, attempting to compete with a bot is fairly futile. I try to keep out of their way when I can and where I can so I can just enjoy whatever amount of time I can play during the day...but they always crash my grind spots and usually have KSing enabled leaving me to spend much of my time running around to find something efficient to kill.

i gotta agree to that, ya ya i know "you botted urself" blah blah i kno i know. i never had the ksing on tho. whats the point in having one or two kills less? if ur botting anyway, no point. i dont like that kind of botters.

I hate to say it Jazba but it is people like you ... not Joymax ... that are ruining SRO.

First of all, from what you just posted you are far from legit and have no right at all to have any sort of claim to being legit. Furthermore you really should be banned from these forums for encouraging other people to bot by saying it is hopeless to be legit.

I hear this same garbage from people day after day from people ... the same sort of thing that Jazba just posted. Over and over again I am told that I am a complete idiot for being legit and handgrinding. I know it gets harder as your level increases and I am only in the 60s now ... but so far I would have to say that anyone that can't level due to bots is either pretty stupid or unimaginative, has a really bad build ... or just not enough patience to play this game. Remember there are always simpler and faster games out there ... like tic tac toe. Its free, easy, very fast, and you don't even need an internet connection so there is never any lag.

People play for bragging rights? and they think they can get those by botting? You don't have bragging rights then ... your bot program does. Bragging rights comes from beating the game legitimately. It doesn't matter if no one else knows you cheated, you know if you cheated. Sort of empty bragging rights in my opionion.

You really should be playing for fun and to spend time with friends. So often on a MMORPG people pray and sweat to make it to the capped level in a game only to find out that being at the top is ... boring. Sure it is fun to run around and "own" people ... but after 2 weeks or 2 months or whatever boredom seems to set in. People is what makes these games interesting.

I really don't know what to think about JM at this point. I actually think they do care but just need time. Updates take time ... lots of time. People sometimes compare SRO to a game called Runescape and say stuff like ... why can't SRO have weekly updates like RS does ... why can't SRO have customer service and have control methods for bots like RS does (no game is able to eliminate bots 100%) ... etc etc. These people making these comments weren't playing when there was NOT a SINGLE UPDATE of any sort on RS for well over a year while Jagex was trying to fix similar problems that Joymax has with SRO. Jagex did finally do their updates but it took ages. People forget that SRO is a much newer game.

I guess you can stick around and be hopeful that eventually Joymax will figure stuff out and fix SRO ... or you can quit and play another game or do something else. Getting all upset and tense about a game is just plain silly though. Even just taking a break and checking back now and then is not a bad idea. Personally I think SRO is a good enough of a game to be patient with it.

And just one last thought ... the world really is what you make of it.

It's just sad that this is the factor that JM could do the most good for SRO to fix, but at the same time it's the one thing that goes without fixing. I hope they get it straightened out soon.
