Edit: This looks like a spambot topic. =P

Okay, I'm thinking of buying a new computer, a used one. I've looked through some sites for good deals. I've seen 3 computers that have caught my eye and I think all these 3 are quite worth the money.

Now I'm asking you, who know a lot about computers, wich one is the best, what speaks for each them and wich one is most worth it?

Notice that #3 is cheaper than the other two and also that it's not easy to compare prices between contries. #1 has a bigger harddrive. That is not very important so don't put too much weight in that.

Much appreciated.

Computer 1:
Price: Ca $700

Amd 64 X2 3800+
Nvidia 8600GT 256MB
2GB ram
500Gb SATA (250+250)

Computer 2:
Price: Ca $700

4.2ghz AMD Dual Core Processor
512mb GeForce 7500 LE Graphic Card
2GB ram
250Gb Harddrive

Computer 3:
Price: Ca $550

AMD 4200+ X2
GeForce nVidia 7600GS 256 MB
2GB ram
250 GB Harddrive

Just what do you plan on using the computer for? If its for gaming purposes, video editing, and things like that, Computer 1 would be the better choice. If you don't plan to use the computer of any of that, go with Computer 3. You can game and edit on it as well, but your video card would create a bottleneck for your computer preventing you from running high end games at decent settings. Because of the price, Computer 3 would also be a nice choice if you plan on buying another video card some time this year. From my experience, buying a good processor is usually more expensive than buying a good video card.

I'd go #2 and upgrade the graphics card once the 8800 series drop in price.

Tbh, you better off buying parts randomly, than buying a new system. Try and find a site that will let you build a PC from scratch. Can save you upto 400$.

Specially that #1 of yours. There's sites that would make that for 50% of the price.

But my choice would be #1, seeing as you don't seem the type that will keep upgrading a pc, so rather than what Dom said and buying #2 then upgrading. I'd just stick to #1 like others said.

I'm going to use it for gaming mostly. High end games is not necessary.
The $150 extra isn't an issue so I'll guess I should skip #3?

I don't want to keep updating my computer frequently either so wich one would last longest?

You opinions are rather widespread lol. I thought the second computer's graphic card was the best because of the 512mb lol. Is that right or is number one's better?

Thanks.

In theory, but for now the 512 mb won't be used. the 'LE' is kinda .. 'bleh' lol ... With the 8800GT and that set up you will be doing fine in UT3 / Crysis / COD4 / etc etc won't need to be upgrading for quite some time.

With Computer #2 as Dom already suggested you'd probably wanna upgrade the vid card, but that completely defies the point of buying #2 instead of #1. : >

Thanks everyone. I'll look into some "build your own pc"-sites before buying one of those. If I will buy one of them I'll buy #1.

Go for Quad and 8800 GTX with 2 gb DDR3 and you wouldn't need to upgrade for a very long time.

Or I can go for:

Quadx4 800+ AMD64
4gig ram
9100 GTZ 512mb
1tb harddrive

but, I just don't have the money or the use of a computer that good.
