We have a hp pavillion a6000n pc and we "forgot" the login pawword. Anyone know how to get around it?

Yeah...unless you have those "lost password" CD's like there is with XP. Your screwed.

Isn't YOUR fault you forgot the password. What would be the point in having a password if it can easily be bypassed?

Guh... that sucks ... I always forget my pw so I just dont have one

try logging on with the username "admin" or "administrator" and hope you never thought put a password on the administrator account.

i remember there was an "administrator" acc like said above in xp in safe mode that would let u get around password acc that were also "admins," so i guess you can try that, gl.

"forgot" huh? So basically you're looking for help to break into someone else's computer that you happen to have physical access to?



When I booted Vista Home Premium into safe mode on my laptop, it presented me with the same login screen as normal mode. It did not allow me to type a username, and only showed the one user account that we set up when installing the system. It did not give the option of logging in as the built-in "Administrator" account, even in safe mode.
